Gorgeous black mesquite burl top, back, head cap, and pickup covers on this Benavente SCB5 Singlecut 5-String Bass adorn the ash body. The set 5-piece Swiss pear and maple neck provides totally unimpeded access (front or back) all the way to the 23rd fret of the multi-bound 24-fret Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with bound ebony block inlays. The tone is as deep and rich as the burl.

Custom built, the Benavente 2K Figured Myrtlewood Top Electric Guitar is striking to say the least. The natural finish lets the rare grain pattern and colors shine through. Native only to Oregon and Palestine, myrtlewood colors range from dark chocolate to honey to blond. Solidly built, the 2K is a player’s guitar. The single cutaway body is made of chambered mahogany, which keeps the weight down, but also provides great resonance, especially when combined with string-thru-body construction.
